Andrea Kartch

Leadership, Learning, Organizational & Business Coach and Consultant

Andrea has been a lifelong business and operations professional. She has recruited, interviewed, hired, managed, lead, coached, counseled. She has managed Human Resources issues, influenced change, experienced growth and downsizing, worked in a wide variety of environments and has been a team player as a people leader and individual contributor. She has been involved in start-ups and closings. Front end to back end. Boss, Manager, Leader – an employee regardless of title or era.  And SO many aspects of work, business, and relationships in between.

Through it all, one thing rings true: Andrea believes that business in America needs work-ready people. We need people who can problem solve, manage themselves, demonstrate critical thinking, and find paths to resolution. Andrea feels that we need to start this approach as early as possible in our schools, then continue this learning through college level and into the business world. Leadership can be learned, and the habits can be taught and demonstrated.

Self-awareness is the cornerstone of accountability. Andrea believes that Emotional Intelligence (Social Intelligence) is a primary focus and becomes the foundation of all learning.  Because authenticity builds trust.

By addressing our perceptions, beliefs, styles, and communication preferences we build our own success and learn how to become more situationally-based while being true to ourselves. Here’s the equation: SUCCESS = (EI) Emotional Intelligence + (IQ) Intellectual Quotient + Personality!

Ultimately, focusing on behaviors leads to learning and mastering social habits, which leads to true understanding, comprehension, and competency.  Work-ready people coming out of our school systems ultimately benefit businesses because “they know how to” recognize, acknowledge, appreciate, and effectively manage situations!

The Classroom Management Program, Time to Teach™, brings these critical tools and techniques to life in a seminar which is CE accredited. Tied in with practical application vs. theory-based training, this classroom management program provides strategies and tactics which are applicable to Parents, Teachers, Administrators, and Students.

Andrea’s philosophy about teaching and facilitation agrees with that of Madeline Hunter who said, “Kids don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care!” This pertains not only to kids but to adult learners as well. Sometimes the subject matter in our classrooms, and the goals of our businesses, can’t compete with the “drama” in peoples’ lives. The main ingredient missing today is a “connection.”

Research is clear: when students or employees know you value them as a human being, not just as another person, they will work harder for you and challenge you less.  Students and employees show up daily with different backgrounds and cultures – and their cognitive abilities, assets and experiences are just as wide-ranging.  The “one size fits all” approach does not work anymore.

How can we amp up our own awareness and abilities to align with this reality?  Through learning about – and understanding – ourselves so we know how to best support others.  Here is a sampling of course topics, and coaching/consulting focus – all customized to meet your needs, which support YOU and your teams in that learning:
